After starting my working life in the NHS and then 30 years in the Pharmaceutical industry I opened my first small shop in Baslow in 2011 Within a year I had outgrown that and moved into larger premises on the main street in the same village.

Unfortunately in 2024 I had to undergo more treatment for cancer and I felt I had to close the shop.

Since then I am feeling stronger and realised how much I missed the “thrill of finding treasures and pretty things “so when the opportunity to rent on the chatsworth Estate near to the Chatsworth farm shop came about I decided to open again in a lovely building (previously the Old post office) in Pilsley, a few minutes walk from the farm shop.

These days it is even more important that we are buying “old and sustainable items. Antique and vintage furniture is better made and significantly less expensive than new furniture.

October 2025 is a new start in a fabulous location with beautiful inexpensive Upholstery, furniture and decorative items!
